Kristeen & Rob l Wedding Photography

congrats kristeen & rob!

it was drizzling most of the morning, i woke up later than i wanted. jumped in the shower and put on my makeup. just enough so it wouldn't be noticeable if it started to run if the morning weather got bad. but as the clock shifted to 11.30 i realized i didn't have a little sweater to go with my dress, so i headed to my not so fav place but close enough to satistfy - superstore - found a new pair of leggins, since the weather had cooled from the day before and the cutest little shrug that i'm sure a thousand or a few hundred thousand - own as well. when i got back to the house, my second shooter and assistant jess was already there, trying to get the lint off her pants! oh jess - but then i took the tape from her and did the same. this was my first wedding. solo. like first ever. i was shooting as bella johnson and not under anyone else and it was incredible. the feeling, the knowing that i had creative freedom and i read everywhere that your first wedding you're suppose to be nervous but i wasn't - i woke up and it felt almost natural for me to be doing a wedding that day. that was it. i knew once we got to the church and we scoped out the areas, talked with the reverend, that this is SO what i was meant to do. that and haul horses :p. the rain stopped, and the clouds provided a great filter. kristeen was GORGEOUS and my eyes watered when she walked down the isle - to my surprise! another clue that made me know i was meant to be a wedding photogreapher. but i won't count my chickens yet. i'll have to keep reaching and dreaming to keep going. but it was amazing. it was SUPER cool and kristeen and rob, i could not have asked for a better bride and groom. they were perfect. so nice, so genuine, so full of life and laughter - kristeen's obvious glow was oh so present! their expecting their first child and i keep thinking - this baby is going to filled with love and laughter, the perfect people to be parents! i cannot say enough good things about them, i hope the photos speak for themselves!

enjoy!

a very happy groom!

  2. First of all I would like to say great blog!

I had a quick question which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing. I have had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Many thanks!
